Sunset Development stated at the time that their intent was to raze the buildings in September 2015.  As of August 2016 the plaza remains unmodified.  Although Sunset asserts that the land will be available for sale after the buildings are destroyed, they will not entertain offers while the buildings are still standing.  The new owner would be allowed to rebuild for commercial purposes and maintain the park area; retail and residential is not allowed.
